Metadata. Wikipedia sez it's "data about data," but really it's not that Zen-cryptic. It's just moar information that further describes some other bit of information--like something that tells you who created a certain file (like when you go into "File," "Properties" on a "Word" document), or in my case, where you can get the PSDs that correspond to a certain a skin.
Soo... while I kinda doubt that a lot of peeps who've purchased a "ready-to-wear" skin from my Suffugium vendor will ever read this blog entry, I've placed "metadata" about my skin in the "Description" field of the skin (right-click the skin and select "Properties")--namely a URL referencing the PSDs--because if you've purchased an "open" skin, you should have the PSDs as well (again this is kinda a cultural change--I'm just hoping that more people will investigate permissions, properties of the items they acquire in SL).
Oh, and if you happen to be here lookin' for PSDs:
LfÂș PSDs
e generation PSDs
eloh, the slrevolutionist... i want to carry your (open source) babies in mah pixelated belly and frolic in the coming social change.
Oh, it was fun seeing so many girls running around Suffugium, apparently slightly disconcerted at the scenery! ;)
